There is no official minimum requirement, but you must have a good understanding of English, and have a basic high school maths foundation, ideally Grade 9 or 10. We help you to cover any gaps you have in your language and maths education so that you can successfully write the GED® exams
This varies from student to student but you can attempt a practice test at any time, and write your final exam when you feel ready. There is no minimum or maximum time to write your exams. You write each subject as and when you are ready. This allows you to focus on one subject and write the exam, then move onto the next subject. Once you have mastered and writing English and Maths, Science and Social Science are relatively easier.
Boston City Campus and Pearson Vue Testing Centres around South African offer the GED® exams.
You must purchase a practice test for $8 and once you have passed that you book your exam at a cost of $85.
You must score a minimum of 145 on a scale of 100 to 200.
